Turkey and the Dominican Republic arrive in Sharm El Sheikh to participate in the World Para Powerlifting World Cup,which will take place from March 20th to 25th.
The delegations of Turkey and the Dominican Republic were the first to arrive in Egypt, with the rest of the delegations expected to arrive gradually before the start of the tournament.
A group of officials from the World Powertlifting Federation has also arrived in preparation for the start of the championship.
A total of 34 countries are participating in the Para Powerlifting World Cup including Angola, Australia, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Colombia, Cyprus, the Dominican Republic, Estonia, Spain, France, Georgia, Ghana, Guinea, Hungary, India, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Morocco, Malawi, Moldova, Nigeria, Panama, Poland, Puerto Rico, Sierra Leone, Serbia, Togo, Turkey, Uganda, Yemen, Zambia, and the host country, Egypt.
The Egyptian Paralympic Committee decided to hold the second round of the national powerlifting championships on March 25th in Sharm El Sheikh after the approval of the World Para Powerlifting
Dr. Hossam El-Din Mostafa, the President of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee, is overseeing the final preparations for hosting the championship, along with Emad Ramadan, the treasurer of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee.
Under the leadership of Dr. Hossam El-Din Mostafa, the Egyptian Paralympic Committee is giving great attention to disabled sports through coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and sports federations that prioritize Paralympic activities.
The Egyptian Paralympic Committee aims to qualify the largest number of athletes in various sports and achieve the best results during their participation in the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.
