Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Receives Egypt’s Deaf Football Team

Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, the Minister of Youth and Sports, received Egypt’s deaf football team, which achieved the fourth place in the World Deaf Football Championship held in Malaysia last month.

During the meeting, Sobhi praised the outstanding performance of the team in the championship and hailed their efforts. He expressed his full support for the deaf team, affirming the provision of all necessary resources to develop and add more accomplishments in the future.

Sobhi urged the players, coaching staff, and administrators to exert more effort, given the unlimited support and backing provided by the political leadership to sports in general and to Paralympic sports in particular.

On the other hand, Emad Ramadan EPC treasurer and the deaf football team praised the efforts made by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in serving people with disabilities. They emphasized that the players would continue to do their utmost to raise Egypt’s name in international competitions.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Ashraf El-Begarmy, President of the Sports Sector; Dr. Amr El-Haddad, Head of the Central Administration for Sports Development; Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, General Director of the General Department for Specialized Federations; Emad Ramadan, Treasurer of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee; Sayed Masoud, President of the Deaf Committee; Mr. Mahsoub, a member of the Deaf Committee; Captain Shawky El-Naggar, the technical director of the deaf team, and several players representing Egypt’s deaf team.
