EGYPTIAN PARALYMPC ACADEMY
It is a scientific academy affiliated to the Egyptian Paralympic Committee, and its Board of Directors is the Board of Directors of the Paralympic Committee, which is the approving body for the policies and procedures of the Academy and follows up its work in technical, administrative and financial terms.
Mission
Establish sustainable education programs in the field of Paralympic Sports and ensure all areas of the entire Arab Republic of Egypt. Qualify the required number of persons to develop and promote sports for person with disability as a main tool for inclusion in the society.
Vision
Qualify people in the field of Paralympic Sports in Egypt, Arab and African Countries.
Objectives:
- Promote and develop sports for person with disability, values and principles of the Paralympic movement, through qualifying people in the field of Paralympic Sports, and create leaders.
- Implementing the strategic visions of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee to develop and promote sport of people with disabilities within the Arab Republic of Egypt, through development of sports leader’s program.
- Prepare qualified persons in different fields (coaching – refereeing – classification – psychology – administration) for person with disability (all types of disabilities such as Physical impairment – Blind and Visually impaired – Intellectual disability – Deaf and hearing impairment)
- Cooperate with National Syndicate of Sports, Sports Federations, Clubs, sports academies, and universities
- Helping and encouraging sports leaders with disabilities to improve their skills on scientific basis.
- Cooperate with governmental and non-governmental bodies, organizations, and sports institutions at national and international levels in the field of developing sports leaders and human resources in the field of Sports for person with a disability.
- Organizing conferences, scientific symposia and workshops in the various disciplines included in the sports field for people with disabilities.
- Providing advice and scientific advice to bodies and individuals at home and abroad in connection with the preparation of sports leaders in various disciplines for people with disabilities.
- Designing and organizing new programs needed by the sports field for people with disabilities.
- Dissemination of knowledge and modern information in the various fields in which the Paralympic Academy prepares leaders.
- Training and refining the cadres working in the Paralympic field, whether at the local or international level
- Providing opportunities to participate in international courses and conferences related to the Paralympic field
- Providing a local and international information base for use in the Paralympic field
- Qualifying specialized cadres in developing scientific plans for bodies working in the Paralympic field
- Qualifying cadres specialized in measurement and evaluation to measure the performance and results of bodies working in the Paralympic field
Establishing a translation center to provide the latest developments in the Paralympic field at the international level.

Egyptian Paralympic Academy signed MOU with National Sports Syndicate, Egyptian Olympic Academy, Faculty of Sports Helwan University to start the cooperation and establish the program and curriculum.

Academy Policy in Achieving its Goals:
- We must consider the sports as industry, requires the qualified human resources in different fields as well as the technology and digitalization. Education is one of the main components in the field of sports for person with a disability based on a proper curriculum in the field of coaching, training, refereeing, sports medicine, classification, and sports management, we must reach a certain quality of management by implementing ISO procedures.
- In order to achieve our goals, we started the coordination and cooperation with the Egyptian Paralympic Committee, Federations, Youth and Sports directorates in the governorates, Ministry of Education, National Sports Syndicate, Ministry of Higher Education and all organizations and institutions working in the field of sports leaders for people with disabilities.
- It was also considered to support these studies with all the available material, tools, devices, training aids and modern educational means.
Means of Achievements:
The Academy works to achieve its goals through the following:
- Theoretical lectures: as a basis for acquiring knowledge and information.
- Scientific training: as a basis for acquiring and developing technical capabilities and skills in various fields.
- Workshops: the aims to provide training to link theoretical knowledge and applied experiences in the areas of specialization that require dealing with some modern technical devices and technologies.
- Studying problems and challenges: the aims to study problems related to the field of work and identify the best and most successful methods to solve the problems and overcome the challenges.
- Site visits: aims to get the best practice, to enhance our program to meet the updated and recent practices.
- The Experts: hire the most qualified experts to work in the Academy.
- Exchange of experiences: with well developed countries in the fields of coaching, sports management, classification, and sports industry.
- Protocol of Cooperation: organizing conferences, scientific symposia and workshops and responsible as well for the execution of cooperation protocols agreements with the scientific authorities, and Faculties of Physical Education.

Academy Grades:
A- The First level: It includes a basic course which is an advanced one and is being held every year, it takes 8 months of study.
B – The Second level: It includes two courses (national – international) and is being held every two years, it takes 8 months of study.
The Academic Scientific Sector:
Scientific Committee
It is a committee constitute of Professors and Experts in the Paralympic field with the aim of developing the various scientific programs of the Academy and follow up, evaluate, develop and improve the programs continuously.
Scientific programs Unit
Scientific advisory unit
This unit aims to provide advice and express advices, as well as to develop scientific plans needed by National Paralympic organizations.
Translation Unit
It is the unit responsible for translating what National Paralympic organizations need and related to the international Paralympic Committee, for example, international bulletins – international championship bulletins – classification bulletins – etc., provided that these translations are approved as official translations approved by the Academy
Measurement and Evaluation Unit
This unit conducts an objective and neutral scientific evaluation, according to a certain KPIs, and measurable factors, to guarantee the success.
Feasibility Studies Unit
It aims to make feasibility studies for projects developed in the Paralympic field, especially the areas that aim to invest in Paralympic sports and determine the size of opportunities
The Digital Library
International Programs and Activities
It is the unit responsible for selecting the qualified persons who deserve to participate in the international programs organized by the international Paralympic institutions and set selection criteria.
