The Egyptian Paralympic Committee (EPC) signed a cooperation protocol with the Egyptian Handball Federation (EHF) for joint cooperation between the two sides in the future.
The protocol was signed by Dr. Hossam El-Din Mostafa, President of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee (EPC), and Dr. Mohamed El-Amin, President of the Egyptian Handball Federation (EHF).
The cooperation protocol includes academic cooperation in the field of qualifying cadres between the Olympic Academy and the Paralympic Academy to coordinate on curricula for wheelchair handball and exchange experiences in this field. With regard to local activity, the two sides agreed to organize a national league competition for wheelchair handball, various wheelchair handball championships, as well as full cooperation regarding the organization of the World Wheelchair Handball Championships to be hosted by Egypt coming September. Regarding continental championships, the two sides agreed on close and continuous cooperation to organize the continental championships in Egypt.
Mostafa, EPC President, confirmed that cooperation with the Egyptian Handball Federation comes within the Paralympic Committee’s strategy to expand Paralympic activities, indicating that handball is one of the important sports that is very popular and embracing it within the Paralympic activity in Egypt will have a positive impact.
The signing of the protocol was attended by Emad Ramadan, EPC Treasurer, and Amr El-Sadiq, EPC Executive Director, and Amr Salah, EHF Treasurer.
