Abdel Rahman Abdel Razzaq, the Egyptian Para taekwondo national team player, has secured a spot at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games in Paris. He was able to snatch the gold medal in the African Championship held in Senegal, which is also a qualifier for Paris.
The Egyptian Paralympic athlete claimed first place in the African qualifiers for Paris in the under 70kg weight category (K-44 classification).
Abdel Rahman overcame Niger’s competitor in the semifinals before winning the final due to the withdrawal of the Senegalese champion.
The Egyptian delegation in Senegal was led by Counselor Mohamed Mustafa, the President of the Egyptian Taekwondo Federation, alongside Hazem Kandil, a board member and supervisor of the Parataekwondo national team.
The list of players included Abdel Rahman Ismail, Abdel Rahman Abdel Razzaq, Walid Abdel Nabi, and Mariam Hafez.

It is worth mentioning that the Egyptian Paralympic Committee, headed by Dr. Hossam El-Din Mustafa, pays great attention to para sports in coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the sports federations that prioritize Paralympic activities in their agenda.
The Egyptian Paralympic Committee aims to qualify the largest number of athletes in various sports and achieve the best results during the participation in the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.
