Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, witnessed the signing of a sponsorship contract for Para athletes between the United Sports Company and the Egyptian Paralympic Committee (EPC).
The protocol will include supporting the activities of the committee during the coming period, in order to support the EPC to participate in sporting events, whether local or international, the most important of which is the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games.
The Minister of Youth and Sports thanked Mohamed Yahya,President of United Sports.
“Today, we congratulate both the United Sports Company and the Egyptian Paralympic Committee for this beneficial protocol,” Sobhi added.
The Minister of Youth and Sports confirmed that Egyptian Para sports athletes are enjoying their golden age under the unprecedented support from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
“We are working in light of his sovereignty’s directives to intensify care for all our champions at both the Olympic and Paralympic levels.
Sobhi praised the great independence that has happened to sports and Egyptian federations recently, adding that he is keen to create the atmosphere for all federations, Olympic and Paralympic, to work freely and without guardianship to achieve unprecedented results.
Dr. Hossam El-Din Mostafa, President of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee, explained, “We have a good product that can be supported and marketed, and the protocol today, and United Sports sponsorship of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee, will represent a major shift in achieving more victories and championships for Egyptian Para sports.
The protocol ceremony was attended by EPC board members, presidents of the Paralympic and Olympic federations, United Sports Company officials, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports officials as well.
