Egyptian champion Hassan El-Attar, a member of the Egyptian National Powerlifting team, is preparing for an exceptional season this year, which includes several continental and international engagements.
El-Attar hopes to continue his accomplishments this year, as it witnesses several important championships in the sport of Paralympic Powerlifting, starting with his participation in the World Cup in Sharm El-Sheikh in March.
The national team is also preparing to participate in the World Cup in Mexico in May, in addition to the World Cup in Manchester in June, and the Paralympic Games at the end of August and the beginning of September.
El-Attar is one of Egypt’s promising champions, having won the World Championship in 2021 and the gold medal in the under 88 kg category. He also won the silver medal in the 80 kg category at the World Cup held in Cairo last year.
It is worth mentioning that the Egyptian Paralympic Committee, under the leadership of Dr. Hossam El-Din Mustafa, pays great attention to sports for people with disabilities, in coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the sports federations that include Paralympic activities in their agendas.
The Egyptian Paralympic Committee aims to qualify the largest number of players in various sports to participate in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games and achieve more achievements for Egyptian sports.
