Counselor Essam Zidan, Egyptian Table Tennis Federation board member and head of the federation’s Paralympic Committee, revealed that Egypt International Paralympic Table Tennis Championship, scheduled to be held from January 24 to 27, has had its classification modified by the International Federation.
Counselor Essam Zidane said that the International Table Tennis Federation decided to raise the technical level of the tournament to 40 factors instead of 20 factors, meaning that the first place holder gets 40 points instead of 20, and thus it has become one of the strongest tournaments in the world, which makes various countries want to participate in the competition.
Zidane also added that the tournament will be attended by 184 male and female players, which is an exception made by Zidane to increase the number, and it is the first time that all this number has participated.
