For the first time in history, Egypt has reached the final of the World Sitting Volleyball Championship

Egypt’s men’s national ParaVolley team advanced to the final of the World Championship after crushing Germany 3-1 in the semi-finals of the tournament hosted in Cairo to face Iran next Saturday to compete for the title.

Egyptian national team reached the semi-finals after defeating Iraq, Rwanda, and Japan in succession with a result of three sets to none. Meanwhile, the German team qualified to the semi-finals after defeating the Brazilian team three sets to one.

The Egyptian team participating in the championship includes Hisham Salah El-Din, Yasser Saad, Mohamed Abdullah, El Sayed Moussa, Abdelnabi Hassan, Ahmed Mohamed Fadl, Matawaa Abdel Baqi, Mohamed Saad, Hossam Masoud, Ahmed Mohamed Khamees, Zakaria El-Sayed, Ahmed Mohamed Hassan, Mohamed Ibrahim, Anwar Ramadan, Hammadah El Sayed, Fares Mohamed, Mohamed Hamdi, Mohamed El Sayed, Abdullah Rizk, General Ayman El Afifi as the technical director, Taher El Bahai as the head coach, Adel Ashoush as the coach, and the acting administrative director.

Seventeen countries are participating in the championship, including Algeria, Brazil, Canada, Congo, France, Germany, Great Britain, India, Iran, Japan, Rwanda, China, Ukraine, Mongolia, the Netherlands, Slovenia, in addition to the host country Egypt.
