Egypt’s Para Swimming National team won four medals in the Citi Para Swimming World Series Championship

The Egyptian national swimming team achieved four different medals at the conclusion of the championship, which was hosted by Egypt in the New Administrative Capital from November 10th to 12th.

Swimmer Wardshan Mohamed, was able to win two medals, a silver medal in the 100 m. butterfly, and a bronze in the 400m. freestyle.

She also added a bronze medal in the women’s 100 m.backstroke, bringing her total to three medals in the championship.

Ayatallah Ayman also won the gold medal in the 400 m. freestyle competition.

Teammate Malak Abdel Shafi won the bronze medal in the 50 m.backstroke.

The Egyptian delegation’s grabbed a total of six different medals, as Ahmed Hashad won the bronze medal in the 100m. breaststroke.

The Egyptian Para Swimming team is composed of Captain Sherif Habib as the technical director, Amr Abu El Dahab as the general coach, and Waleed Abdel Qader as both a coach and administrator.

On another note, Dr. Hossam Al-Din Mustafa, President of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee, expressed his gratitude to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for his continuous support of athletes with disabilities, who have achieved continental and international accomplishments and raised Egypt’s name in international forums.

He confirmed that sports for people with disabilities are witnessing a new era of attention and challenge under the wise leadership of the President, especially after the world praised Egypt for organizing and succeeding in hosting major international championships.
