The Egyptian national deaf football team took the 4th place in the Deaf Football World Cup held in Malaysia, after the defeat from Senegal 1-2.
The starting lineup of the team for today was as follows:
Goalkeeper: Saber Gamal
Rest of the team: Mohamed Abdel Hamid, Mohamed Emad, Abdullah Musa, Maher Abdel Moteleb, Amr El Sherbeny, El Sayed Shawqi, Maher El Gohary, Ismail Mohamed, and Mohamed Mahmoud.
Dr. Hossam El Din Moustafa, President of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee, congratulated all the players, coaching staff, and management on their performance throughout their journey in the World Cup.
Mustafa emphasized that the team performed very well during their participation in the World Cup, despite playing every 48 hours, which resulted in fatigue and a lack of concentration at certain times during the matches.
However, the players have proven themselves as great players who have given their all in one of the biggest deaf sports tournaments in the world.
Dr. Hossam also expressed his happiness with the level displayed by the national deaf team, highlighting that the Egyptisn Paralympic Committee trusts their ability to face challenges and raise Egypt’s name on podiums in the future.
