A Bronze Medal and a new personal record for Omayma Omar in Dubai’s World Para Powerlifting Championship

Omayma Omar was able to collect the bronze medal in the 50kg weight category at the World Para Powerlifting Championship in Dubai after lifting 102 kg, which is considered a new personal record for her, as her previous record was 97kg.

With Omar’s bronze, the total of medals grabbed by the Egyptian national team are 9 medals: 3 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze.

Omayma Omar expressed her happiness and joy saying,” I am very delighted with this medal ats it is the first time that I compete in this weight category in a World Championship. I thank the Egyptian Paralympic Committee and my coaches for giving me this chance to represent my country in such an event. I will exert my best and train well to be able to snatch a paralympic medal in the coming 2024 Paris Paralympics.”
