Minister of Youth and Sports Approves Second Batch of Support for Disability Clubs

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, the Minister of Youth and Sports, has approved financial support for some clubs engaged in Paralympic sports for the 2022/2023 sports season. The allocated financial support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports amounts to one million Egyptian pounds, bringing the total support to two million Egyptian pounds.

The Egyptian Paralympic Committee, under the leadership of Dr. Hossam El-Din Mostafa, will distribute the support funds to the federations that carry out Paralympic activities within the clubs.

These federations are: “Tennis, The Egyptian Federation for Mental Disabilities, The Egyptian Federation of Cerebral Palsy, The Egyptian Federation of Sports for the Blind, Cycling, Badminton, Egyptian Sitting f Volleyball Federation, Taekwondo, Triathlon, and Table Tennis”.

Dr. Hossam El-Din Mostafa, the President of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee, emphasized that the committee has set criteria for distributing the support to the clubs based on the number of registered players and their participation in championships.

He praised the role of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in providing support, which reached two million Egyptian pounds for disability clubs, Additionally, there is support for the deaf football league, which is up to 1.3 million Egyptian pounds, as part of the ministry’s plan to support various activities and expand participation throughout Egypt.
