Dr. Hossam eldin Mustafa, Egyptian Parlympic Committee (EPC) President received head of the World Para Powerlifting, Jorge Moreno, and World Para Powerlifting Competitions Coordinator, Sandra Faul, who are going to pay a four-day inspection visit to Cairo to see the latest preparations for the coming 2023 Cairo Para Powerlifting Open to take place next October alongside the 2023 Vista Conference. They had a tour at the New Administrative Capital, and were dazzled by the fantastic sports facilities at the Club club which will pay host to the coming event. They also toured Cairo Stadium. The 2023 Cairo Para Powerlifting Open is expected to witness the participation of more than 40 countries in addition to a number of coaching and referring courses held alongside the championship. Morino expressed his happiness for visiting Egypt again and praised the great development in the sports facilities especially at the New Administrative Capital which he called the ‘Future City’.
The Egyptian Paralympic Committee has also appointed John Andrew, the Chilean Para Powerlifting expert, to improve and develop the Egyptian Para Powerlifting national team to be ready for the 2024 Paris Paralympics.
