Egypt’s ParaVolley to Paris 2024 Paralympic Games

This week, the Egyptian men’s national ParaVolley team was able to snatch the gold medal at the African Zonal Championship held in Lagos, Nigeria, and book a ticket to Paris 2024 Paralympic Games as the first Egyptian Para team sport.

The Egyptian ParaVolley men’s national team were able to overcome Morocco 3-0 (25-13, 25-11, 25-16) in the final match at Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos to win the title for the 10th time in their history to rule the African continent and make it to the Paralympics. The Egyptian team has also been able to snatch the silver medal at the World Cup held in Cairo last month.

The Egyptian national team had qualified for the final match after defeating Algeria by a score of three games to no return, in the semi-final match after the national team obtained the full mark in the first round defeating Morocco, then Kenya, and finally Nigeria, with the same score 3- 0.

Three golden balls were also handed to the Egyptian champions after winning the African ParaVolley Cup: Hisham Salah as the best player, Sayed Moussa as the best spiker and Ahmed Fadl as the best blocker
