26 Medal for Egypt at the end of the Second Day of the Para Powerlifting World Cup

The competitions of the second day of the Para Powerlifting World Cup, hosted by Egypt from November 3 to 5, have concluded at the Hassan Mustafa Hall in the city of 6th of October.

Egypt’s national para powerlifting team has increased its medal count to 26 medals in total, “11 gold medals, 11 silver medals, and 4 bronze medals”.

Nadia Ali, an Egyptian athlete, achieved the gold medal in the +86 kg weight category after lifting a weight of 151 kg.

Randa Taj also secured the gold medal in the 86 kg weight category by lifting 132 kg, while Rania El Morshedy won the silver medal in the same weight category after lifting 112 kg.

Fatma Mahrous claimed the gold medal in the 61 kg weight category by lifting 128 kg.

Hadi Samuel won the silver medal in the 49 kg weight category after lifting 140 kg, and Mamdouh Qadhafi won the bronze medal in the same weight category by lifting 125 kg.

The Para Powerlifting World Cup will conclude tomorrow, Sunday, with the mixed and team competitions.

A total of 70 male and female athletes representing 12 countries are participating in the championship, including Italy, Algeria, Ghana, Georgia, Namibia, Moldova, Estonia, Hungary, Malawi, Guinea, Kenya, and Egypt.

This championship is one of the tournaments that contribute to the world ranking of athletes in order to qualify for Paris 2024.
