With the participation of 80 participants representing 22 countries, Egypt was chosen from Africa to pay host to the International Classification Conference for the first time ever with participants representing NPCS and International federations from all over the globe under the supervision of the International Paralympic Committee.
The conference discusses a number of important issues concerning Para Athletes’ classification and coding systems review to work on upgrading the system that has been applied for years and to train new classifiers from all the different regions to make it easier for the NPCs to host their regional games on their own with their own well-prepared and trained classifiers.
A number of representatives from the different federations are taking part as football for cerebral palsy, equestrian, canoe, blind, paramount, skiing, handball, volleyball, table tennis, cycling, intellectual disabilities, athletics, swimming, wrestling, boccia, powerlifting, Para taekwondo, triathlon, para dancing.
They are representing the following countries: France, Norway, Belgium, Slovakia, Czech, Estonia, Australia, Ireland, England, Germany, Ghana, Hong Kong, Iran, Serbia, Spain and Egypt.
