The Egyptian intellectually disabled national team wins 27 Medals at the Global Games in France

The Egyptian disabilities mental team continues to win medals at the ongoing Global Games held in France from June 4th to June 10th.Egypt is participating with 57 athletes in five sports out of 14 different sports, including athletics, swimming, table tennis, equestrian, and karate. The championship includes 1,500 players representing 95 countries from around the world competing in various sports.

The athletes have won a total of 27 medals: 11 gold medals, 5 silver medals, and 11 bronze medals.

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, the Minister of Youth and Sports, communicated with the Egyptian delegation through a video conference to congratulate and motivate the athletes.

Amal Mobada, the President of the Egyptian Federation for persons with intellectual disabilities and a board member of the International Federation and the Egyptian Paralympic Committee, stated that the Egyptian team has trained well before the Games and they collected more medals because of their motivation and enthusiasm.

Mahmoud Abdel Haleem El-Sheikh heads the delegation, while Amani Dorgham serves as the Deputy Head of the delegation, and Sonia Donya, the Head of the Central Administration for Sports Development at the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
