This year, Egypt is grasping the world’s attention by hosting a number of Paralympic activities and events including three World Championships and an international conference.
The world’s attention this year is focused on Egypt where many international Paralympic championships and conferences will be held in the coming period, including international championships and a scientific conference that is being held for the first time in a country outside Europe.
The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee (EPC) , headed by Dr. Hossam El-Din Mostafa, announced a state of extreme emergency in preparation for such international events especially that the Vista Conference will be celebrating its 30th anniversary in Egypt during its eleventh edition.
In light of the enthusiasm that the country is experiencing in organizing major sporting events in all sports, Egypt will be the center of attention during the coming period.
Dr. Hossam El-Din Mostafa confirmed that the Egyptian Paralympic family will experience distinguished international events this year, thanks to the confidence of the IPC in Egypt’s ability to professionally organize major events.
The President of the Paralympic Committee added that Egypt will organize Paralympic events that have never been organized in Africa and the Middle East, as it has succeeded in winning the organization of several world championships qualifying for the Paris 2024 Paralympics. It will also organize the National Paralympic Day on the 22th of July at the American University in Cairo with the participation of 19 Paralympic sports.
In addition to that, Egypt will host the international classifiers meeting,which witnesses the participation of 140 attendees from around the world, and will be held from October 26 to 29, 2023. It will be followed by the eleventh edition of the VISTA Conference, the scientific conference that celebrates its thirtieth anniversary for the first time in a country outside Europe, from October 31 to 4th November 2023, from October 31 to November 4, 2023, with the participation of 450 individuals from around the world.
Moreover, Cairo will organize the Para Powerlifting World Cup from November 3 to 6, 2023, followed by the second edition of Egypt International Swimming Championship from November 9 to 12, 2023.”
