The World Para Powerlifting has announced the opening of registration for the Para Powerlifting Cairo 2023 World Cup which will be held in Cairo for the first time. It has been decided to choose Egypt as the host after the Egyptian Paralympic Committee has succeeded in organizing th Africa Open Para Powerlifting event last October 2022.
World Para Powerlifting has also set the dates of teams arrival on 29th and 30th October. The anti-doping seminar will be held on the 31st of October and International classification will take place on 30th October and 1st of November. Technical meeting and first day of competition weigh in will be held on the 2nd of November while official competition dates will be from 3 to 5 November and teams will departure on the 6th of November.
