The medical committee appointed by the Ministry of Health has completed the comprehensive medical examination of the Para Powerlifting national team players and conducted specialized physical therapy assessments in the presence of Dr. Samah Wahdan.
The committee will prepare a complete medical file for each player, including members of the senior and youth teams, and deliver it to the Paralympic Committee.
This is done to select the players who are fit to join the closed training camp, which is considered a preparation for the Powerlifting World Cup held in Cairo from November 3rd to 6th.
The training camp is scheduled to continue until Paris 2024 Paralympic Games at the Olympic Center in Maadi. Players who are found to be injured will be treated first before joining the camp.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Howeida Mondy, the Executive Director of the Paralympic Committee, and Captain Mohamed A
Ezzat, head coach of the youth team.
The meeting took place at the Cairo International Stadium and included 19 players who participated in the first team gathering.
The players are: Fatma Omar, Omaima El Sayed Hassan, Amal Mahmoud Hanafi, Randa Taj El Din, Rehab Radwan, Safaa Ibrahim, Fatma Mahrous, Nadia Fekry, Hany El Desouki, Mahmoud Sabry, Sherif Othman, Shaaban Yehia El Desouki, Mohamed Saad El Menyawyi, Abdelbasset Magdy, Taha Adel, Mohamed Sobhi, Mohamed Ali El Sayed, Amr Farouk, and Mazhar Tamam”.
