The Egyptian Para Powerlifting National Team Flies to Dubai to participate in the World Championship

The national team has departed to United Arab Emirates to participate in the World Championship, which which will take place from August 18th to 30th,and qualifies for the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games.

The Egyptian team consists of 19 male and female athletes. The women’s team includes 8 players: Omaima El-Sayed “50 kg”, Rehab Radwan “55 kg”, Fatma Mahrous “61 kg”, Safaa Mohamed Ibrahim “73 kg”, Amal Mahmoud Hanafi “79 kg”, Randa Taj El-Din “86 kg”, Nadia Mohamed “+86 kg”, and Amani El-Desouki “+86 kg”.

The men’s team comprises of Taha Adel “54 kg”, Sherif Othman “59 kg”, Mohamed Saad El Menyawy “59 kg”, Shaban El Desouki “72 kg”, Mahmoud Sabry “ over 72 kg”, Mohamed Sobhy “88 kg”, and Hany Mohsen “97 kg”.

In addition to 4 youth players: Mohamed Fathy “49 kg”, Hady Samuel “49 kg”, Islam Ashour “80 kg”, and Marwan Ahmed Moustafa “+107 kg”.

The delegation is headed by Mr. Emad Ramadan, the Egytpian Paralymic Committee’s treasurer. The coaching staff includes Abdelmonem Salah as the technical director, Hany Mohamed as the head coach, and Mohamed Ezzat and Emad El-Din Bahgat as coaches, with administrative duties handled by Mohammad Azat.
