As part of its success story under the leadership of Dr. Hossam Eldin Mustafa, EPC President, the Egyptian Paralympic Committee signed a contract with World Para Swimming to organize two series of the World Para Swimming events for the season 2023-2024 in Egypt. This gives the chance for the EPC to host and organize three World Series Championships for three consecutive years as part of the EPC strategic plan to host international events to give its athletes the chance to get in contact with World class swimmers. Also, it will be a good chnce for the Egyptian swimmers to be classified in their country alongside the events in addition to holding training courses for both coaches and referees in addition to classifiers to prepare well qualified calibers in all fields.
EPC President, Dr. Hossam Eldin Mustafa, has declared that the Egyptian Paralympic Committee with its newly elected board in 2022 has put a strategic plan that follows international standards to work professionally from day 1 and to put Egypt on the International Paralympic Committee calendar through hosting a number of international championships and events in all sports under the EPC umbrella.” This is part of the strategy of the New Republic (El Gomhuria Al Gadida) under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the support of Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports,” commented Mustafa.
He also went on to say,” We succeeded to win the bids of hosting a number of international events in the coming period due to the trust of the IPC and International Federations in our capabilities in organization as Egypt has all the fundamentals of success. For example, we are hosting the Vista Conference 2023( first edition to be held out of Europe), The General Assembly of all World Classifiers, World Para Powerlifting Championship in both November and March that are qualifying tournaments to Paris 2024 Paralympics, the International Swimming Championship for the second year consecutively and the African Championship for Amputee Football.”
